In these couple of weeks, I had came across a few posts on my Facebook feed which shared about several cases of scam which happened within the country. The tactics they used sound pretty scary to me.
I wonder, how on earth those people will be helping the scammers behind all these plans without any feelings of taking advantage on other's kindness into weakness?
There are a few tactics that I have read.
The first tactic is that there are a group of 20+ year old people (maybe about 5 to 6 people) who will be randomly walking around outside a store or shopping centre and claimed that they are volunteers who are collecting donations for some kind of organisation (eg: old folks home/orphanage). They will request you to donate some amount of money and you will be given a small plushies as return. If you reject them, they will push the plushies towards your face, this time, it is better for you to defence yourself by getting away from the plushies because there is a content on the plushies that will make you faint and they will start to drag you away to get money.
The second tactic is that there are a group of 20+ year old people (maybe about 5 to 6 people) who will be randomly walking around outside a store or shopping centre and claimed that they are volunteers who are collecting donations for some kind of organisation (eg: old folks home/orphanage). They will request you for some amount of money and you will be given a pen. Now, (I have heard someone stated on the Facebook that he himself had experienced this), the pen itself has a built in GPS that will track your location. This is very dangerous for you as they will detect where you live and rob you when the time comes.
The third cases is actually not a kind of "tactic" but what the people have done is just SICK!
I came across a post stated that there is a child who get lost while following the family out (in China). The next day, I saw another post which shared about a beggar in Malaysia is carrying a child which looks like the child that was lost a day ago from China. Then, I saw another post from another people showing a different beggar carrying the same child as the previous beggar. What on earth is happening actually??
I came across an article who was wrote by a guy (I forgot where I have read that, sorry) which is about beggars with child. That guy was observing a lady beggar with a child in a train station for about a month. He will walk through and fro for about 4 times a day, but he did not give her any money. What he had noticed is that the child she's holding is always sleeping. One day, he decided to come up to the lady and ask her about the sleeping child, but the lady just gave him silence, saying nothing but just looking down, she don't even know the child's name nor her age. After that incident, the guy request some help from his friend to make him understand about the situation of beggars with sleeping child.
Apparently, his friend did gave him the answer! His friend told him that the children were being abducted and were distributed to these beggars for them to act as their child to get sympathy from others so that they will get more money out of that.
So why are the children always asleep? How did they get them to fall asleep in such a long period? Everyone knows that a child from age 1-3 will have the average sleep for about 2 to 3 hours in the afternoon, but how the children of the beggars will be sleeping for more than God knows how long? The answer given from his friend is that the children were given alcohol or drugs to make them dizzy and apparently "sleep" so that they won't make any noise while their "mothers" are working.
Won't the child's health be affected? Some of the children actually lost their life, some of them actually died in the beggars arm while she's working and she had to carrying the corp the whole day.
After knowing the facts, the guy came back to the train station, he noticed that the beggar is now carrying a different child.
See how sick the society around us is now? Why are they taking advantage on innocence? Why are they misleading the whole society? Won't they feel bad of what they are doing? Won't it be good if they do something or some act they can actually bring benefits and spread kindness and love to the society? I actually feel sad for them and for the others on what they have done to this society..
As for the others, continue doing kindness act towards the society. However, do it correctly, never pitty on other people easily as they may take you for granted. To avoid that, help others wisely, for example, if you want to make donations, make sure you go through trusted friends or family members, or the best way is that to visit the organisation by yourself. In my opinion, this is the safest and right way to help people who are actually in need and not by helping the "bad guys" to be more successful in whatever they are doing.
I really hope that one day, these "bad guys" will actually awake from their evilness and make a change in spreading kindness and love to the society.
